my heart is heavy, i don't know how to react...
today, i received 2 emails...
Dear Friends,
Many of you prayed the Ishii's son through his initial leukemia
diagnosis and treatments 2 years ago. Last night (Monday here) he spiked
a fever that would not go down. His mom, Kaoru, took him to the hospital
today and at least one of his blood counts is out of wack. He is being
admitted. His dad, Seiji, was to in Tokyo with Jody all week for some
meetings but is on his way home right now.
Right now we have no other information but will update you as we hear.
Please pray for:
- wisdom for the doctors to find out what is wrong and treat it
- that the cancer has not returned (one of Kaoru's greatest anxieties
over the past 2 years, as you can well understand, has been that the
cancer might return)
- for peace for Seiji and Kaoru, and also for Sho and his almost 9 yr
old sister Saki

at this point, i was hoping the result would be positive... and kept my fingers crossed...

The results of Sho Ishii's tests came back. His cancer has returned.This was Kaoru's greatest fear. Seiji said they will do chemo therapyand a bone marrow transplant, if possible. Seiji, Kaoru and Saki will betested first. If they do not find a match then they will begin to lookelsewhere. I offered that we would be tested and would recruit everyonewe know to be tested. Even if we don't find a match for Sho we may finda match for another child.
As you can imagine we are all in shock and heavy hearted. Right now Ihate that we have moved so far away from them.
Please pray especially for Kaoru and Seiji. I would imagine it will bevery hard to sleep tonite, especially for Kaoru. Sho will remain in thehospital from now on. Kaoru will need to stay with him since he is only4 years old.
I don't think any of Seiji or Kaoru's family (except Seiji's sister) areChristians.

at this point... my heart just sank... i really don't know what to pray and even how to pray... all i can do is pray... i felt so helpless and like there's nothing i can do... i want to help by taking the test too... but i am far away and it seems like at this point of time, all i can do is to ask you guys for prayers... i gotta know seiji in nanzan and he was a very nice friend and guy to joke with. he is a very helpful guy during our stay in nagoya especially to the four jokers in nanzan, me, marcus, cheryl and clara... i really don't know how to react now...
Father in Heaven, hear my cries for help. i don't know how to pray for them right now but i pray that You will put words into my mouth right now... my heart is heavy and my heart goes all to the family. Please do the impossible and heal Sho... Father, please remove his cancer and heal him thorough... also, please grant seiji, kaoru and even saki the peace to comfort their hearts... please do find at least a appropiate donor for Sho. Thank You Jesus for always being there for them. i pray the nagoya ministry will stand united during this time to bring the family through this rough patch! i pray all these in Jesus name, Amen.
